CHICAGO (WGN) — When Christie Delaney and Alicia Meyer look back on Ireland’s epic 2016 win against the New Zealand All Blacks at Soldier Field, the first in 111 years, they remember the shock and emotion of that momentous day.

Now, as the Gallagher Cup returns to the same venue on Saturday, the anticipation builds for another unforgettable match in rugby history.

“This is our two-peat," Delaney said.

"We’re here for another round,” Meyer said.

“Women’s rugby is growing. There's so many girls who have started in high school. We didn’t even know about it until college,” Delaney said.
