It was a perfect day for the Ronaldo family on Saturday as both father and son scored on what was already a historic household date.

Cristiano Sr. netted the 952nd goal of his remarkable career, while his son, Cristiano Jr., found the net for the first time for Portugal U16s.

And both goals coincidentally came on the anniversary of a special strike that ignited the incredible rise of one of football's icons.

On November 1 2003, Ronaldo scored his first-ever goal for Manchester United against Portsmouth .

He, of course, then went on to become a club legend and score 145 for the Red Devils across his two spells at Old Trafford.
