RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - With Election Day just around the corner, Virginians had their last opportunity to cast an early ballot on Saturday, and voters in Henrico County showed up in a big way.

The scene at the polls at the Western Government Center was bustling, with lines stretching and wrapping around as voters rallied to take advantage of their final chance to vote early ahead of the official Election Day.

“I was expecting it but hoping it wouldn’t be so long,” Brenda Gray, an early voter, said.

“Everybody’s trying to get the same ideas everybody else has, just to get it done,” another early voter, Avery Gray, said.

The growing lines and continuous stream of cars kept poll workers on their toes, as they diligently worked to ensure a smooth process.
