LANGDON — Glancing at Langdon Area-Munich's scoring plays Saturday afternoon against Hillsboro-Central Valley, one might've thought that Jax Johnson was a back.
The Cardinals' senior starting quarterback scored three rushing touchdowns, all from inside the 10-yard line.
"He’s almost like a fullback playing quarterback at times," head coach Josh Krivarchka said. "He’s just a downhill kid that lowers his shoulders, and he's tough to bring down. He just keeps on delivering blows to the defense, and after a while, the defense gets almost sick of tackling him. He’s nice to have on our side."
Johnson's scoring helped Langdon Area-Munich cruise to a 25-0 home win over the Burros in the North Dakota Class A quarterfinals.
Senior running back Sam Davis also found the end zone with a 2-yard rush
