The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and Albertville Police are investigating after a wanted suspect reportedly shot herself after a standoff with police.
Albertville officers were attempting to serve a felony warrant at a home on AL-75 North, according to the Advertiser-Gleam.
After making their way into the home, a gunshot was fired. The suspect remained barricaded inside the house until the Marshall County Joint Special Response Team entered the home.
The woman was flown by medical helicopter for treatment. There is no word on her condition.
