Thousands of people are on the verge of having their food stamps paused on November 1 st .
"I think this is the wrong time for anybody’s benefits to be cut off,” said one resident.
SNAP benefits were scheduled to be distributed on Saturday.
"It scares everybody, everybody is looking forward to getting their food stamps tomorrow,” said Elva Kent.
President Trump who was adamant about not using emergency funds for the program, is now vowing to keep it active.
In a statement he says, he does not want Americans to go hungry and his administration will follow a judicial ruling to provide snap food benefits, after a federal court clarifies how the money can be distributed.
