JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WSAV) — Georgia survived a scare from Florida, but was able to hang on for a 24-20 victory at Everbank Stadium on Nov. 1.
Georgia goes right down the field on the opening possession. Gunner Stockton finds Dillon Bell for an 8-yard score. UGA leads, 7-0 early in the first.
After Florida tied the game at seven, Gunner Stockton threw his second interception of the year. Florida takes over in Georgia territory for the second time in the game.
The first time Florida put seven on the board. This time, Florida would have to settle for a field goal. They led the No. 5 team in the nation, 10-7, with three minutes remaining in the first.
Georgia would not score again until the end of the first half. Peyton Woodring was true from 39 yards. The score was tied at 10 at the break
