EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Halloween is over, it’s time to look ahead to Christmas.
Saturday morning, volunteers started setting up for the 32nd Annual Ritzy’s Fantasy of Lights.
Organizers say this year’s light show will feature the largest number of displays ever.
With nearly 100 displays to set up for the festive drive-through event, they say it takes dozens of volunteers to make it all happen.
“All throughout the week, each night there’s about 25 to 30 individuals lifting up displays, getting displays over here on some semi flatbeds,” says Sara McKeehan, Director of Special Events. “Hundreds of people, a lot of electrical needs, so it would be impossible to do this event without them.“
Ritzy’s Festival of Lights will open Thanksgiving Day and run through New Years Day.
