To improve connectivity between Delhi and Haryana, the Public Works Department (PWD) is planning to extend the under construction Munak Canal elevated road up to Kashmere Gate. The extension will include the construction of a 4-km tunnel between Inderlok and Kashmere Gate ISBT, PWD Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh said on Saturday.
The department has begun the process to prepare a Detailed Project Report for the project, Singh said in a statement.
The initiative is part of Delhi government’s plan to expand road infrastructure and address long-standing traffic congestion across North Delhi, he added.
