WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Among the tight-knit group of seven Stevens Point runners, there wasn’t a dry eye once they all reunited near the finish line at Ridges Golf Course on Saturday, Nov. 1.
Despite entering 2025 accomplishing a feat that hadn’t been done since 1945 – capturing three consecutive state titles, the 2025 Panthers felt like heavy underdogs.
But for a group built on historical excellence, anything less than a state championship was not acceptable, and once it came to fruition all the emotions came pouring down at once.
