The Blue Jays have a second chance to win the World Series tonight.
Welcome to the Toronto Star’s live blog! We’ll have blanket coverage throughout the game, with updates of the action and everything going on around the ballpark and elsewhere as the Jays attempt to make history with their first championship in 32 years.
It’s the first time the Jays have played in Game 7 of the World Series in franchise history, but they’re leaning on someone with experience to get it going.
Max Scherzer, who started the last Fall Classic Game 7, back in 2019 for the Washington Nationals against the Houston Astros, will be on the mound for the Jays to start this one. The 41-year-old Cooperstown-bound right-hander started Game 3 in Los Angeles, allowed solo home runs to Shohei Ohtani and Teoscar Hernández
