DOVER - St. Thomas Aquinas boys soccer coach Ethan Rech believes his team is getting close to playing its best soccer of the season.
And now the Saints are off to the Division III semifinals.
Top-seeded St. Thomas got two goals from Ryan Gould and one each from Conall Ciaschini and Luke Daly and beat No. Prospect Mountain on Saturday, Nov. 1 in a quarterfinal round game.
"Credit to Prospect Mountain, as they are always a strong team and they came ready to play today," Rech said. "I thought we managed the game well and played to our strengths. The boys fought until the end and they earned themselves a spot in the semifinals."
St. Thomas (15-1-1) will play No. 4 Trinity on Wednesday at Bedford High School. Trinity advanced with a 4-1 win over No. 5 Belmont.
Angus Forman had two assists
