Throughout my work in animal welfare, I have seen many cases of abandonment, each one more heartbreaking than the last.

People often have excuses for leaving their pets behind, but none of them ever justify such an act.

There is never a valid reason to abandon a dog without food, water, or shelter, especially when help is available through shelters and rescues that exist for exactly that purpose.
