1Polk City, FL – A Florida woman was arrested following a disturbance involving her husband. Laylani Sullivan, 24, faces multiple charges including domestic violence battery by strangulation, battery on a firefighter, and resisting arrest.

On morning of October 15, deputies received a report of domestic violence at a residence on Cypress Trails Drive. The husband’s account indicated that an argument escalated when Sullivan became intoxicated and began to scream and curse at him.

Law enforcement noted the dispute started verbally but turned violent, as Sullivan allegedly choked her husband to the point of restricting his breathing. When deputies arrived, Sullivan was found fully unclothed and was reportedly combative.
