KILLDEER, N.D. — Anytime a Killdeer Cowboy receiver gets open, chances are Tucker Bohmbach will see them and throw it right at the target. That’s exactly what happened in Killdeer’s state tournament quarterfinal matchup against the Trinity Titans, where the Cowboys defeated the Titans 39-19 to punch their ticket to the Class A state semifinals.

“The boys executed the game plan really well. We talked about all of the key components to being able to win this game, and I think for the most part, we executed those and did a fantastic job,” Killdeer head coach Andy Cook said. “We had to play physical and we had to limit their run game.”

The Titans were limited to just 180 yards rushing, and Hugh Meyer had 22 carries for 154 yards rushing in the contest with one touchdown, which came on a kick
