Freeland ran out of time after watching a fourth-quarter rally fall short in a 17-13 loss in a Division 4 first-round playoff game Saturday at Escanaba.
The Falcons, who finish the season at 7-3, scored all 13 of their points in the fourth quarter, but Escanaba recovered an onside kick with 1:06 remaining to run out the clock and advance to a district-final matchup against Big Rapids.
