WASHINGTON — When facing a young team such as the Wizards (10 players on their roster aged 22-or-under), it’s an opportunity for the Magic , who haven’t opened the regular season as they would have liked, to find their footing on offense, impose their will on defense and showcase the style of play they hope to portray on a nightly basis.
Orlando did all of that and more when Jamahl Mosley’s squad won its second game in a row, 125-94, on Saturday night at Capital One Arena, outscoring Washington 71-40 across the second and third quarters.
Paolo Banchero (28 points), Franz Wagner (25) and Wendell Carter Jr. (16) combined for 69 in the 31-point victory over the Wizards (1-5).
The win is Orlando’s 11th straight over Washington, dating back to March 21, 2023.
