PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (WTRF) — A Cincinnati man was arrested on drug charges after a narcotics investigation led to a search warrant and large drug seizure in Portsmouth, according to the Scioto County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff David Thoroughman and Portsmouth Police Chief Debby Brewer said the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force, assisted by the Portsmouth Police SWAT team, executed a search warrant at about 4:43 p.m. Oct. 27 at a home on 12th Street.
During the search, officers seized about 390 grams of suspected fentanyl or other opiates, 51 grams of suspected crack cocaine, a loaded firearm, digital scales, sandwich baggies, $1,673 in cash and other evidence of drug trafficking.
Authorities estimated the street value of the seized drugs at about $51,900.
