HOMEWOOD, Ala. (WIAT) -- The Homewood Police Department is investigating a report of shots fired Saturday in the 100 block of Vulcan Road.

According to Homewood police, Star 1 also responded to the scene to assist officers in searching for suspects and ensuring the incident does not pose a further risk to the public. Multiple suspects were detained in connection to the incident, and police confirmed there is no current threat.
