KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A 38-year-old Warrensburg man is dead following a crash early Saturday morning in Johnson County, Missouri.
The crash was reported just after 2:20 a.m. on U.S. 50 Highway, just west of NW 250th Road, or about 11 miles west of Warrensburg, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP).
MSHP reports the driver of a 2017 GMC Sierra was traveling east on 50 Highway when he went off the side of the road, struck a sign and then a tree.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unknown if he was wearing a seatbelt, according to MSHP. His name is not being released by MSHP.
