HUMBOLDT, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - A benefit for a family grieving the loss of their child was held on Saturday in Humboldt, where the community came in full support.

In August, at the age of 3, Mallory Jahn passed away surrounded by family after battling a brain tumor.

She was diagnosed in August of 2024, and had multiple visits, surgeries and underwent chemotherapy.

A year later, the Jahn family hoped there was no sign of cancer, but it had returned and was aggressively growing.

The family made the decision to let Mallory live her life until her final days. Now, the community came together to help the family through this tough time.
