BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — For two periods, nothing was going the way of the Bemidji State men’s hockey team.
The Beavers trailed 2-0 and had a goal taken off the scoreboard due to a premature whistle as Vann Yuhas’ shot went in. But Bowling Green’s Lake of discipline reared its ugly head in the third period.
After striking out on its first four power plays, Bemidji State scored two goals on the man advantage in the third period to tie the game and force overtime. Hudson Thornton converted in the 3-on-3 session to give the Beavers a 3-2 win.
For the second night in a row, Quinn Emerson opened the scoring in the first period. Four and a half minutes into the second period, freshman defenseman Brayden Crampton doubled the lead for the Falcons, beating freshman goaltender Max Hildebrand blocker
