Ten people were hospitalised on Saturday (November 1, 2025) after a stabbing attack on a U.K. train, with nine thought to “have suffered life-threatening injuries”, police said.

“A major incident has been declared, and @TerrorismPolice are supporting our investigation,” British Transport Police said on X.

Two men have been arrested in what Prime Minister Keir Starmer called an “appalling incident.”

British police and ambulance services said a number of people had been stabbed on the train, which stopped at Huntingdon, with armed officers seen entering the train in videos on social media.

Cambridgeshire police said they were called at 7:39 p.m. GMT (1:09 a.m. IST) after reports that multiple people had been stabbed on a train.
