LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Just minutes the clock expired on Texas Tech’s 43-20 win at Kansas State, ESPN announced on social media that their iconic Saturday morning show, College GameDay, would return to Lubbock for the first time since 2008- when then No.7 Tech beat No. 1 Texas 39-33, courtesy of Graham Harrell’s last-second pass to Michael Crabtree- a play that has become legendary.
For some of the players, a chance to be featured on ‘Game Day’ is a long-time coming.
“Lubbock’s going to be jumping for sure. I know this is a big thing for Texas Tech, it’s been some time since they’ve come to Lubbock, so I’m excited about it,” said quarterback Behren Morton moments after GameDay was announced.
