Quarterback Broc Lowry scored touchdowns with his arm and his legs, including a go-ahead strike on fourth down late in the fourth quarter, to lead Western Michigan to a thrilling, 24-21 victory over Central Michigan at a jam-packed Waldo Stadium on Saturday night.
The Broncos hadn't trailed at any point in the game, until the touchdown with just over 2 minutes to go.
"As much as you talk during the week, this is one game and you want to go 1-0 and this is just another game ... we all know how much this means," said Lance Taylor, Western Michigan's third-year head coach. "They're special.
