CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A person is in the hospital after a stabbing was reported in west Charlotte Saturday night.

Medic said it happened around 8 p.m. along Heywood Avenue near Ashley Road. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment with non-life-threatening injuries.

As of publication, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has not shared further information about the incident.
