ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WILX) - No. 21 Michigan continued its winning ways with a 21-16 victory over Purdue on Saturday night. It’s the third straight victory for the Wolverines as they improve to 7-2.
It was scoreless until less than two minutes were left in the first quarter when Jordan Marshall broke out a 54-yard touchdown run to give Michigan a 7-0 lead.
Purdue answered right back in the second quarter with an Antonio Harris 2-yard touchdown run to level the score at 7.
Just before halftime it was Marshall again punching in his second touchdown of the night from three yards out to give Michigan a 14-7 lead headed into the locker room.
The Boilermakers would cut into the deficit with a field goal to make it a 14-10 Michigan lead.
