COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The Gamecocks continued its SEC skid as its offense struggled against Ole Miss in its 30-14 loss on Saturday.
Carolina came out strong in the first quarter when the Gamecocks were able to recover a muffled punt from the Rebels at the Ole Miss 18-yard line.
Gamecock quarterback LaNorris Sellers was able to get the ball into the end zone on a 1-yard run, four plays later.
The Rebels then responded with a field goal after having an incomplete pass at the South Carolina 4-yard line.
Ole Miss scored two more touchdowns in the first half while holding Carolina scoreless in the second quarter. The Rebels led 17-7 at the half.
The Gamecocks were able to get more points on the board in the third quarter after Sellers was able to get the ball to wide receiver Nyck Harbor
