CHARLES TOWN - According to Morgantown coach Bri Fontuto, her team has been prone to slow starts this season.
On Thursday, in the Class AAAA, North Region final against Washington, the Mohgians flipped the script, this time getting off to a fast start en route to defeating the Patriots 3-2 and advancing to the Class AAAA state tournament in Beckley.
"We've had a lot of slow starts this year, and so just building and building, and I think even some of the momentum from the upset Saturday (against Hedgesville) really kind of carried into today," Frontuto said.
