The Hedgesville and Musselman boys soccer teams' impressive seasons came to end on Thursday in the Class AAAA, North Region tournament.

The Eagles fell to Morgantown 3-0, ending the season with a 9-6-4 record. Meanwhile, the Applemen (12-4-4) dropped a 3-1 contest to Wheeling Park.

Class AAAA, North Region tournament underway

MARTINSBURG - The Class AAAA, North Region volleyball tournament got underway on Thursday, with all six local teams in action.

Top-seeded Hedgesville (38-3-3) easily defeated Washington 3-0, advancing to Monday's regional final against Spring Mills. It was the Eagles' 17th straight match win and 18th win in the last 20 matches, with two ties mixed. Their last loss came on Sept. 6.
