NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Due to the ongoing federal government shutdown and a lack of funding, SNAP benefits have been delayed.
There is no exact date for when the government shutdown will end or when November SNAP benefits will be paid out.
"Due to the federal government shutdown, November SNAP benefits will not be issued at this time," reads the website for the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance.
"This includes regular November benefits, and any other expedited or prior month SNAP benefits issued after November 1. SNAP benefits cannot be issued until the federal government shutdown ends or other federal funding is provided."
