(WNDU) - Five high school volleyball teams represented Michiana in semi-state competition on Saturday, but none of them were able to punch their tickets to the state finals next weekend.
Penn (Class 4A), Mishawaka Marian (Class 3A), Lakeland (Class 2A) and Triton (Class 1A) all fell in the semifinal round while NorthWood (Class 3A), who defeated Marian in the semifinals, fell in the championship.
Here’s a look at how the semi-states involving our local schools played out.
Class 4A at Rochester
Match 1: Crown Point def. Penn 3-1 (25-20, 25-21, 15-25, 25-23)
Match 2: Carroll (Fort Wayne) def. Westfield 3-2 (23-25, 26-24, 25-17, 20-25, 15-8)
Championship: Carroll (Fort Wayne) def. Crown Point 3-1 (25-12, 23-25, 25-20, 25-23)
Carroll (Fort Wayne) (36-0) advances to Class 4A state fina
