The BJP has targeted RJD chief Lalu Yadav for celebrating Halloween after videos of him celebrating the festival with his grandchildren surfaced on social media. The party lashed out at Yadav for celebrating a foreign festival while citing his earlier statement about Maha Kumbh Mela, which he had called " faltu " (meaningless).

On October 31, Lalu Yadav's daughter and RJD leader Rohini Acharya shared pictures and videos of the Halloween celebrations and wrote, "Happy Halloween to everyone."

In the visuals, Lalu Yadav was seen playing and taking pictures with his grandchildren, who were dressed up for the occasion.
