The Timmins U15 Majors dropped a pair of games to the Soo U15 Greyhounds in NOAAAHL action at the McIntyre Arena, on Saturday.
But stellar goaltending from Benson Renaud helped the U15 Majors earn a single point during the day’s second contest, a 4-3 overtime decision in favour of the visitors.
Earlier in the day, the Greyhounds thumped the U15 Majors 9-1.
Wyatt Jarrett’s eighth goal of the season 1:09 into overtime proved to be the different in Saturday evening’s contest.
The U15 Greyhounds had jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period on Gregory Beckerson’s third goal of the campaign and Matti Lappalainen’s 14th tally of the season, a power-play marker.
