GRAND FORKS — UND dominated Minnesota Duluth 5-1 Saturday night at the Ralph Engelstad Arena, opening National Collegiate Hockey Conference play with a series split.

It was a major turnaround for the Fighting Hawks, who suffered a 4-3 overtime loss to the Bulldogs on Friday night.

Max Plante, Zam Plante and Jayson Shaugabay were lethal on Friday night.

UMD’s top line finished with 10 combined points. The Plante brothers collected four apiece.
