BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - The grills were fired up as Smokin’ the Coast continued on Harrah’s Great Lawn.

The barbeque smokeoff, live music, vendors, and food trucks set the scene for food enthusiasts.

Board Member Kenny Foreman said the event is put on by the Trident Foundation, and the proceeds go towards the Trident Foundation Disaster Relief.

“We do events like this past year we were a part of hurricane relief efforts for Hurricane Helene,” Foreman said. “We’ve been to Tylertown to take care of folks in need after tornadoes and in Moss Point. We do a lot of things locally but this specific event is for disaster relief.”

32 professional teams signed up for the cook.

The Smokin’ the Coast event is part of the Memphis Barbecue Network.
