LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) is investigating two shootings that took place within hours of each other.
Reports of the first shooting came in just before 11 p.m. Friday; police said they were called to UofL Health Mary & Elizabeth Hospital on a report of a shooting victim.
There, police learned from medical staff and security that a man suffering from a gunshot wound was brought in by private means. He was later transported to another hospital.
There are no known suspects in this case, and the man is expected to survive.
Then just after 7 a.m. Saturday, officers were called out to reports of a shooting in the Jacobs neighborhood off Berry Boulevard, not far from Churchill Downs.
