Authorities say a three-year-old child was pulled from a pond near W. 15th and S. Kelly in Edmond on Saturday afternoon.
According to police, a teenage boy was fishing in the pond at the Coffee Creek Apartments when he saw a young child in the water.
He ran to his mother, and they called 911.
Edmond firefighters pulled the 3-year-old child from the water and found him unresponsive after starting CPR.
The boy was transported to a nearby hospital, but authorities pronounced him dead shortly after.
This is a developing story.
