COLUMBIA, S.C. — The rest of the weekend will continue to be pleasant across the Midlands with comfortable afternoons and mostly dry weather. A slight chance of showers will return to start the work week before sunshine returns to the region.

Tonight will be mostly clear and chilly with a slightly cooler than normal morning expected.

Sunday will begin with clear skies and morning lows in the upper 30s to low 40s. By midday, sunshine will give way to increasing cloud cover as a cold front approaches. High temperatures will be in the mid 60's. The rain should hold off until later Sunday evening, when a few isolated showers are possible. Most of the Midlands will stay dry as rain chances stay low.
