TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Twin Falls residents received a history lesson Saturday afternoon about the city’s architecture.

The Twin Falls Historic Preservation Commission held a historic walking tour of main street in the early afternoon.

The free tour saw 30 people gather to learn the history of many buildings, discussing some of the prior uses of the structures.

City Planner Lisa Strickland said these tours are a good way for people to learn about the history of the city.

“With today’s society where you build new and start new, it’s nice to remember the buildings, it’s nice to understand the history behind them, because it creates a sense of place for the individuals who live here and it’s a just a wonderful opportunity to learn where you live,” Strickland said.
