Fans across Los Angeles are taking to the streets to celebrate after the L.A. Dodgers beat the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4 to win their second straight World Series title Saturday night.

The Dodgers became the first team in a quarter-century to win consecutive World Series titles. Yoshinobu Yamamoto was named the 2025 World Series MVP.

The Los Angeles Police Department issued a citywide tactical alert in preparation for any public response to Game 7. The alert was issued shortly before 6 p.m. and will continue through the night.

Several streets in downtown L.A. have been closed to traffic including: • Pico Blvd. between LA Live Way and Grand. • Flower St. between 9th St. and Venice Blvd. • Hope St. between 9th St. and Venice Blvd. • Olympic Blvd. between LA Live Way and Grand Ave. •
