New Delhi: To bolster connectivity between Delhi and Haryana, the Public Works Department (PWD) is planning to extend the Munak Canal elevated road up to Kashmere Gate, aiming to reduce traffic jams. The new corridor could cut travel time between the Delhi-Haryana border and Kashmere Gate by up to 40 per cent, according to PWD’s initial calculations.
The project will include a 4-km-long tunnel between Inderlok and Kashmere Gate ISBT, aimed at providing a faster and smoother route for the public.
PWD Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh said the department has started preparing a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the project. He added that this initiative is a part of the Delhi government’s plan to expand road infrastructure and solve the problem that Delhiites have been facing for years due
