Politics over SIR in West Bengal is continuously heating up. On Saturday night, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) claimed that another person from Purba Bardhaman district died due to fear of SIR. The TMC said that the BJP's hands are stained with blood. Allegations have also been made against the Election Commission. They called it the result of the politics of fear and hatred.

The TMC posted on social media, stating that Bimal Santra, a resident of Nabagram village in Jamalpur, Purba Bardhaman, lost his life due to fear and stress related to SIR. He used to work as a migrant labourer in Tamil Nadu.
