Rob Edwards felt Middlesbrough still had a chance to get back into the game at half-time at Watford, as he explained why he didn’t repeat his half-time changes trend.
Boro found themselves 2-0 down at the interval at Vicarage Road, though the scoreline didn’t even begin to tell half of the story. Edwards’ side had dominated the ball and spent much of the half in the home side’s half.
The problem was, they couldn’t cut through a compact Watford defence and were then hit twice with precise encounters that saw the hosts take a solid lead into the break.
