As winter approaches, the Indian Railways is bracing for disruptions caused by dense fog. The wintry conditions are expected to lead to the cancellation of several long-distance express trains over the next three months (December-February). Despite efforts to ensure smooth operations, fog-related delays and cancellations continue to cause inconvenience to passengers every year.

16 trains cancelled across northern India

In this regard, officials have confirmed that multiple trains will be suspended from December 1, 2025, to February 28, 2026 due to poor visibility. Among them is the Jalandhar–Delhi Superfast Express, a key train on the Saharanpur–Delhi route, which will remain off service until March 1, 2026.
