TWO young Tamworth men accused of kidnapping another man and leaving him seriously injured on the outskirts of town have fronted court for the first time.
Connor Hensler and Angus Paul Thomas both appeared in Tamworth Local Court this week for the first time since they were arrested in Tamworth in August.
Both were supported in court by family. Thomas, aged 19, and 21-year-old Hensler face up to 20 years' behind bars if found guilty of violently assaulting the man and kidnapping him with intent to gain an advantage on the morning of August 22.
In Thomas' case, police prosecutor Sergeant Kareena Gill said "the brief is compliant", and had been served on the defence and Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
