New Delhi: The passenger vehicle segment in India saw new heights in terms of volumes during October 2025, with the GST 2.0 reducing the prices of vehicles overall and aided more by the festive season. This has ensured that many carmakers have recorded their best monthly wholesale figures ever.

The PV wholesale in the domestic market saw a rise by 17.23 per cent year-on-year, going from 4,01,105 units in October 2024 to 4,70,227 units in October 2025, as noted from industry data. This overtakes the previous record of 4,05,522 units recorded in January 2025. The GST reform, along with Dussehra, Dhanteras and Diwali, enabled this figure after the months of August and parts of September saw a dip in sales numbers.
