Bo Bichette is steadfast in his desire to remain in Toronto.
After the Blue Jays dropped Game 7 of the World Series to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday night, Bichette was asked about his impending free agency.
And as he’s done all along, Bichette stayed true to the organization that drafted him in 2016.
“I’ve said I want to be here from the beginning,” he said following the Blue Jays’ loss.
Bichette was nearly a Toronto World Series icon after blasting a three-run shot off Shohei Ohtani in the third inning on Saturday night, but a late Dodgers comeback cost the 27-year-old and the Blue Jays a shot at a title.
A two-time all-star, Bichette was kept off Toronto’s post-season roster for its ALDS and ALCS victories as he recovered from a knee injury suffered in early September.
