The NAACP hosted a debate on Oct. 22, for the Dutchess County comptroller and court judge candidates at the Cunneen-Hackett Arts Theater in the City of Poughkeepsie.

The event allowed for voters to meet the candidates, with the goal for voters to be more informed in the upcoming election.

In the comptroller debate, incumbent Dan Aymar-Blair took the stage with challenger Will Truitt, current chair of the Dutchess County Legislature.

In the county court judge debate, incumbent Ned McLoughlin took the stage with Kara Gerry.
