U.S. forces have carried out another lethal strike on an alleged drug smuggling vessel in the Caribbean, killing three people, according to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
"At the direction of President Trump, the Department of War carried out a lethal kinetic strike on another narco-trafficking vessel operated by a Designated Terrorist Organization (DTO) in the Caribbean," Hegseth said in a post on X, using the Trump administration's preferred name for the DOD.
At least 64 people have been killed in U.S. attacks on vessels in the southern Caribbean and eastern Pacific since the start of September, according to numbers published by the administration.
